Wale Adenuga, Saka, others honoured at ‘Humour Awards’
Veteran cartoonist, producer and media mogul, Wale Adenuga of Wale Adenuga Productions, was honoured alongside other stakeholders in the comedy industry during the second edition of the ‘Humour Awards’ held last weekend on Victoria Island, Lagos.
Four honourees were inducted into the hall of fame at the event. Aside from Adenuga, the other three individuals were actors Nkem Owoh, Sunday Omobolanle (Aluwe) and Afeez Oyetoro (Saka); and actress, Ngozi Nwosu.
The event was also attended by younger comedians, skit makers and content creators, who got different prizes in the 20 categories of the awards.
Anita Asuoha, aka Real Warri Pikin, won the award of the ‘Most Creative Comedy Show’ for her event, ‘Unfiltered 2022’. Also, popular skit maker and social activist, Adebowale Adedayo, aka Mr Macaroni, won the ‘Comedy Humanitarian Award’.
One of the highlights of the event was when comedian and singer, Kehinde Otolorin, aka Kenny Blaq, mimicked controversial singer, Habeeb Okikiola aka Portable, which had guests cracking their ribs.
Media personality, Denrele Edun, was the host of the event.
