Rev Achi: Niger Govt orders arrest of killers
Reverend Father Isaac Achi
Security agencies in Niger State have been directed to apprehend those responsible for the murder of the Parish Priest of Saint Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Very Reverend Father Isaac Achi.
In a statement by the State Commissioner for Information, Emmanuel Musa, the Niger State Governor, Abubakar Sani Bello said the arrest and prosecution of the clergyman’s killers will “serve as deterrent to others”.
The statement condemned what it described as “the callous and shocking” killing of Reverend Achi, who was burnt to death by bandits on Sunday.
The Governor condoled with the “entire Christian Community in Niger state” and urged the people of Kafin-Koro and the “entire parishioners” of the Church to be calm and allow the appropriate security agencies search for the killers.
