Police releases Afrobeat star Seun Kuti

Popular Afrobeat Star Seun Kuti has been released from police custody.

Confirming his release, the Afrobeat Star’s lawyer and Senior Advocate of Nigeria Adeyinka Olumide told Journalists that Kuti was released on Tuesday evening after fulfilling his bail condition.

Shortly after his release, a right activist and politician, Omoyele Sowore celebrated Kuti on his tweeter with a video showing Kuti hugging some fans in Lagos.

Seun Kuti the son of late Afrobeat legend Fela Kuti was arrested earlier this month for allegedly assaulting a police officer.
