Five suspects arrested over killings in Mangu, Plateau

Five suspects have been arrested by the Special Task Force, ‘Operation Safe Haven’ in Jos following the attacks on some villages in Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State.

According to a Statement by the State Police Command Public Relations Officer, DSP Alfred Alabo; 47 Riffles, a Revolver and Cartridges were recovered while heavy security presence has been deployed to the area to forestall any further breakdown of Law and Order.

The Plateau State Police Command however expresses regret that, one Officer attached to Sector-Eight of the Special Task Force sustained bullet injuries and is currently receiving treatment at its Headquarters in Jos.

The Statement adds that, a Hilux Van belonging to the Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps was over ran and vandalized by the attackers.
