
Facebook owner ‘Meta’ to layoff 10,000 staff
Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp owner ‘Meta’, has announced that it will cut 10,000 jobs.
It will be the second series of mass redundancies from the tech giant, which laid off 11,000 employees in November 2022.
Mark Zuckerberg said the ongoing changes may be extended till the end of the year.
In addition to the 10,000 jobs loss, 5,000 open roles at the company will be left unfilled.
Mr Zuckerberg said the following principles; flatter is faster, leaner is better, investing in tools are being adopted by the company to enable it build a stronger technology company.
