CSO cautions on social media election results

The Network for Peace Journalism in Kaduna State has appealed to members of the public to only access election results from credible media organisations and not on the social media.

Leader of the group Ibrahima Yakubu warned against the spread of fake results on the social media particularly at this time when INEC officials were busy with the collation.

He stressed the need for the general public to be cautious on the dangers associated with the spread of fake news particularly during elections.

Ibrahima expressed satisfaction over the state government and house of assembly elections, saying its the best in the history of Nigeria.

He also commended the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) for opening-up a situation room during and after the elections.
