Celebrating Strength, Achievement , Digital Innovation and Skills of the Nigerian Women, in a Technologically Driven Economy.
Gombe state first lady, Dr. Asma’u Inuwa Yahaya,congratulates women worldwide for marking yet another International Women’s Day ,with the theme: DigitALL Innovation and Technology for Gender Equality.
The first lady who is impressed with the concern of Gombe women in the education of their children, their determination and commitment in various trades and businesses for self reliant,thereby providing great support to the immediate family, the community and society at large said, such unique qualities make women become strong pillars of the family, worthy of celebrating everyday.
Dr. Asma’u Inuwa Yahaya added that, today’s societal ills and challenges did not deter most women from achieving their dreams in the home front, academia, politics, trades /business etc, rather, they summoned courage and strength to support and embrace each other through thick and thin not only to make ends meet , but to maintain an appreciable level of contentment for a good and sustainable future.
Further more, first lady Asma’u thanked her husband, governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, for giving Gombe women , the level playing ground in terms of opportunities that secured them many positions in their fields of endeavor.
When it comes to digital innovation and technology, the Inuwa administration has included a lot of women and youths in its computer skills and capacity training, under the human capacity development of the AT RISK CHILDREN PROJECT (ARC- P)and in some of our women empowerment programs ,a clear indication of the government’s support for women and their inclusion in governance for gender equality….Dr. Asma’u .
As we celebrate these all important occasion today, it is my best wishes to see our great Nigerian women continue to prosper in actualizing their potentials to the fullest, because” WE (women) are a powerful asset of socio-economic development .
